weekend activities

It's Marlee's 1st Birthday this weekend. And we're going to Port Douglas for 24 hours, house inspecting. Marlee will be staying with Milo for a couple of nights (thanks Aunty Reen!)
Maybe we'll be able to fit some Sassi dessert in before we come home...

London Calling

Craig has left India and is now in sunny London. He's off to see a 20-20 match with some contacts, which I'm sure he'll enjoy; he doesn't get to watch cricket recreationally very often. He'l' be there for a week, then onwards 'round the world to the US, then back home. I'm counting the days...

Craig makes it to Mumbai

Craig has left the country.
He went via Cairns and Darwin to India (Mumbai for a week), and will then continue on to the UK (London for a week); onward to the US (transit in Miami) and Jamaica (Montego Bay 3 days to visit Adam and Brandon). Then back through Miami to LA and onward home to Melbourne.
Cam has gone with him to Mumbai, first timer in India. Will be interesting to hear what he thinks of the crazy city of Mumbai.
It will be the longest time we have been apart. Before that it was 2 nights. Now we're looking at 3 weeks... lucky I have the dog with me!

Marlee is a sainter

We decided that Marlee should support the Saints, seeing as she's growing up in St Kilda. I grew up in Hawthorn first (go Hawks!) and Craig is a Geelong boy (go Cats!) so it made sense, and solved any debates about our dog's loyalties. Although we tend to see the Melbourne boys at the cafes, they train at the Junction Oval; but St Kilda is usually most people's second team, so I had no qualms about it!
People certainly notice her much more because of it, and we get lots of comments when walking down the street; much more than when she was a cute puppy. Melbourne certainly loves her football...

Marlee is a.o.k.

Marlee visited the surgeon for a follow-up consult to check on her recovering knee. He was very pleased with it, and also gave her other knee the all clear. He hopes we won't need to call him again... us too!So she has 3 more weeks confined to leash walks, after which she can probably go off lead; something Marlee has been dying to do for weeks. Her first romp in the park, I'm sure will be a joyous one. She may be even allowed to chase a tennis ball!In the mean time, she is allowed back on the couch, and zoomies around the house are no longer banned. A much happier dog indeed!
