We're off to London town

Tomorrow (Friday) my whole family will be overseas: Gav will be in transit in Hong Kong, Erna will be somewhere in France, Dad is in Kuala Lumpur, and Craig and I will be in London.
We'll be seeing the sights with Dad when he arrives on Monday, and we'll jet home again the following Monday. A mere whistle stop. (I type this in the Singapore Airlines lounge awaiting our boarding call at Melbourne Airport.)

Bon Voyage 3

Dad is off on his UK tour; visiting his sister Alice and his niece and nephew, and Mum's sister in Cardiff Wales. A big adventure way on the other side of the world.
Craig and I will be meeting him in London in a week or so and we will experience the London sites together for a few days before he ventures forth to Cheshire and onward, while we make our way back home again.
I think for a day, our whole family will be overseas all at the one time! Then Gav is back from Europe himself. Quite amazing. We have become the travelling family.

Flip at Bolinda

We went up to Bolinda where Flip is being trained. It was his last day before he takes a spell for 6 weeks where he can kick back and be a horse for a bit. He's looking good and the trainer is very pleased with his progress. More pictures here: Flip's Pictures

Happy Birthday Andrew

We drove up the country to Mia Mia where Andrew and Roger have a gorgeous little cottage for...

Andrew's birthday lunch. Which was lovingly prepared by Roger and was absolutely delicious! Happy Birthday Andrew!

We're back

from our relaxing and rejuvenating time away in Byron Bay. Well we had a relaxing time, but the dog got quite a workout on the dog beaches. Large expanses of sand for her to gallop along and breaking waves to surf in. But we're back and ready to get back into the grind... until we go again in 10 days time to London of course.
More photos of our Byron Bay trip are in Adventures.

Bon Voyage 2

The intrepid E has embarked on her European odyssey where she will join up with Gav and they will discover more interesting places together. Have a great time!

Byron Bay Holiday

Today Craig and Marlee flew to Brisbane, where they hired a car and drove 2+ hours down to Byron Bay. Tomorrow I will fly to Sydney then onto Ballina-Byron airport where they will pick me up.
We're staying 5 minutes out of town in a lovely house nearby to a beach where we will relax and recuperate for a week.
Then its cricket season in England and Craig will be back into the grind.
More later...

Bon Voyage

My big brother goes forth to conquer Europe today. He will discover another wold, another culture, another perspective. And this will only help him discover more about himself, as I did when I first encountered the vastness and depths of the European psyche. Travel makes you appreciate who you are, where you come from, and what you have.

Finally! no.2

Finally!

Congratulations to Cam and Di, who 'made it official' in a beautiful lakeside setting on a lovely evening in Geelong, with family and friends present to witness the occassion.
Hip-hip-hooray!
The bride was gorgeous and the groom was dashing.
